WHY:

“Transforming homeownership dreams into reality has been a cornerstone of the Culinary Union’s organizing to empower working families,” said Ted Pappageorge, Secretary-Treasurer for the Culinary Union. “Since 2007, the Culinary and Bartenders Housing Fund has helped over 1,800 Culinary Union members purchase their first homes, providing $12.8 million in down payment assistance and closing costs. This partnership with NACA and the Achieve the Dream event is an opportunity for Nevadans to make their dreams a reality and achieve financial stability for generations to come. In addition to accessing NACA’s mortgage, eligible Culinary Union members will be able to use up to $20,000 of their union housing benefits to assist with this excellent mortgage opportunity, ensuring even more renters achieve the Las Vegas Dream of owning a home.”

“NACA is proud to bring our Achieve the Dream event to Las Vegas with the Culinary Union to empower families to take control of their financial future,” said Bruce Marks, NACA CEO. “NACA sets the standard for affordable and sustainable homeownership with America’s Best Mortgage without consideration of one’s credit score. Nevadans have everything to gain by attending NACA’s Achieve the Dream event. Renters can take control of their financial future and join the many thousands of families who have achieved affordable homeownership through NACA.”

Unlike traditional mortgage programs, NACA’s approach does not factor in credit scores. Instead, it focuses solely on an applicant’s financial readiness, ensuring accessibility for a broader range of potential homeowners.
