With the rising cost of rent and unsafe living conditions in areas of the Las Vegas Valley, there's been a lot of conversation about Assembly Bill 223 and what it brings to the table. Ted Pappageorge from the Culinary Union came by to talk about the impact this bill will have with renters and how they can be protected in conditions where utilities fail and if their living conditions turn out to be unsafe.
Assembly Bill 223 gives tenants more power when dealing with landlords, holding them accountable for unsafe living conditions such as running water, electricity and A/C in our Las Vegas heat.
