STATEMENT by Culinary Union Secretary-Treasurer Ted Pappageorge regarding rescinding the endorsement of Judge Suzan Baucum:

Previously, the Culinary Union had issued a rare dual endorsement of Rebecca Saxe and Suzan Baucum in the Las Vegas Justice Court Department 13 race.

Today, the Culinary Union is rescinding the endorsement of Suzan Baucum after an October 23, 2022 social media post included Judge Suzan Baucum, in a group endorsement photo with the Republican candidate for Nevada governor, Joe Lombardo.

Joe Lombardo is a threat to workers and our values. He does not stand with working families in the fight against Wall Street landlords, Big Oil, Big Pharma, and greedy corporations.

As the largest organization of workers in Nevada, we will continue to elect political leaders who will protect Nevadans, and so the Culinary Union is supporting Rebecca Saxe in a sole endorsement in the Las Vegas Justice Court Department 13 race for the 2022 Midterms.
