Las Vegas Strip hits 100% unionization with Culinary’s Fontainebleau contract, a historic milestone

After 18 hours of intense negotiations, the Culinary and Bartenders Unions have reached a historic tentative agreement with Fontainebleau Las Vegas, marking the first-ever union contract for workers at the resort.

The agreement, finalized on December 19, 2024, and ratified on December 30, 2024, will be effective…through September 30, 2028.

The contract covers nearly 3,300 employees, including guest room attendants, cocktail and food servers, porters, bellmen, cooks, bartenders, and kitchen workers.

This milestone means that, for the first time in its 90-year history, every casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip is now unionized. The Culinary Union celebrated this achievement, recognizing the efforts of its members, both past and present, who have worked tirelessly to secure a better future for workers.
