The Culinary Health Center, which held its ribbon-cutting ceremony today, will serve over 60,000 local Culinary Union members and their families.
The state-of-the-art medical facility is housed in a two-story building near Craig Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard. While the center is exclusively open to union members, it is expected to have a positive impact on the broader community.
"Being a born native of Las Vegas, Nevada, I actually grew up in this area of Las Vegas, so for me, this is like a dream come true to have a full-service, affordable health center in the heart of Las Vegas where I grew up," said a local resident.
