Fiesta Rancho workers unionize 85% UNION YES!

Today, workers at Station Casinos’ Fiesta Rancho voted UNION YES to join the Culinary Union by a resounding 85%!

“I’m fighting for my family’s future,” said Ronal Portillo, a cook at the Fiesta Rancho for 2 years. “I’m a child of a Culinary Union guest room attendant, and I saw when my family had good healthcare benefits. My mom had peace of mind because she didn’t have to worry about taking me to the doctor. As a parent myself, I work hard every day to provide for my family and make this company successful - we don’t want to be left behind.”

200 Fiesta Rancho workers will now be represented by the Culinary and Bartenders Unions!
 
"Workers are standing up and fighting! Two Station Casinos’ properties have voted to unionize by a super majority this week,” said Geoconda Argüello-Kline, Secretary-Treasurer and leader of the Culinary Union. “We call on Station Casinos to immediately negotiate and settle a fair contract for the workers at Fiesta Rancho, Sunset Station, Palms, Green Valley Ranch, Palace Station, and Boulder Station.”

ÚLTIMAS NOTICIAS: ¡Se sindicalizan los trabajadores del Fiesta Rancho!

Hoy los trabajadores de Fiesta Rancho, que pertenece a Station Casinos, votaron SÍ a la UNIÓN para afiliarse a la Unión Culinaria ¡por un rotundo margen del 85%!

“Yo estoy luchando por el futuro de mi familia,” dijo Ronal Portillo, que ha sido cocinero en el Fiesta Rancho por 2 años. “Soy hijo de una recamarera con Unión Culinaria, y yo vi cuando mi familia tenía buenos beneficios de cuidado médico. Mi mamá tenía tranquilidad porque no tenía que preocuparse por llevarme al doctor. Siendo padre yo mismo, trabajo duro todos los días para sustentar a mi familia y para que esta compañía tenga éxito - no queremos que nos dejen atrás.”

¡Ahora 200 trabajadores del Fiesta Rancho tendrán la representación de la Unión Culinaria y la Unión de Cantineros!

“¡Los trabajadores se están levantando y están peleando! Ésta semana, una súper mayoría de trabajadores votó en dos propiedades de Station Casinos para sindicalizarse,” dijo Geoconda Argüello-Kline, Secretaria-Tesorera y líder de la Unión Culinaria. “Hacemos un llamado para que Station Casinos negocie de inmediato y llegue a un contrato justo para los trabajadores de Fiesta Rancho, Sunset Station, Palms, Green Valley Ranch, Palace Station, y Boulder Station.”
